India added two more gold medals, one silver and one bronze to its kitty at the 18th Asian Games being held in Indonesia today.In Boxing and Bridge event India got Gold, and Silver in Women’s Squash Team event.
Boxer Amit Panghal defeated reigning Olympic champion Hasanboy Dusmatov of Uzbekistan in the final of Men’s Light Flyweight 49 kilogram category. Amit Panghal was the lone boxer left in the fray.
The second gold medal of the day came in the bridge Men’s Pair event where Pranab Bardhan and Shibhnath Sarkar finished top of the table with 384 points. They defeated the Chinese pair Liain Yang and Gang Chen by six points.
In Squash, Indian women team of Chinnappa Joshana, Dipika Pallikal Karthik, Sunayna Kurivilla and Tanvi Khanna bagged Silver. They were defeated by Hong Kong, China 2-0.
In Men’s hockey, India beat Pakistan 2-1 to clinch a Bronze medal. Akashdeep hit the first goal and second was scored by Harmanpreet.
India is now at 8th position with 69 medals in its kitty. India has 15 gold, 24 Silver and 30 Bronze. China leads the medals tally followed by Japan.
